Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment saves teeth that would otherwise have been extracted.

It is needed when the pulp tissues of the tooth gets infected or inflamed due to deep decay or extensive restoration; cracked tooth due to trauma; and sometimes, gum disease.

During the treatment, the infected pulp is removed, the root canals are cleaned and sealed. A dental crown may be added to protect the tooth.
